Stephen Pledger (Proprietor)

Born in 1963, I was brought up in the town of Glastonbury.  There I got my first job in Brownings where I learnt the rudiments of the furniture trade; to deal, carry and sell furniture. 
I then moved to T. Wicks and Son and spent the next 16 years specialising in removals and running an antique salesroom.
 

I have worked with and around furniture all my working life and the knowledge I gained, enabled me in 2001 to start Household Comforts.
Now I run a successful furniture busines of my own.

A large and comprehensive range of “new and second-hand furniture and appliances” is stocked and changes on a daily basis.

Second-hand furniture bought for cash.

Full or part house clearances.

Man and large Luton Van hire.

My extensive showrooms cover 4.500 square feet and are situated just off the centre of the High Street, up Guardhouse Lane (opposite Dixons). 

Bell Close car park abuts the shop making it easy to park for shopping.

We carry a good selection of “Factory Reconditioned Appliances” all guaranteed by our suppliers for periods varying from 6 to 12 months.
